Never a dull moment these days!
I just found out that the San Antonio Catholic Women’s Conference has sold out! Conference organizers have had to rent an addition 100 chairs to accommodate the 1300 women who will be attending the conference September 21-22, 2012. Whew! Talk about pressure! I’ve been working hard to polish my presentation, “Spirituality of Womanhood,” for the conference, but now my polishing will have new meaning as I think about speaking before a sold-out audience. Your prayers are much appreciated – for me, and also for the other presenters and for the organizers who are working night and day to make the conference the spectacular and important event that it will be. You can check out the conference here.
I also hear that the registration for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati’s October 1-2, 2012 event, “The Summit: Revitalizing the Domestic Church,” is going strong. At the summit, I’ll be presenting my workshop, “Strengthening Your Family: A Catholic Approach to Holiness at Home,” named after my book of the same title. If you’re in the area, or interested in traveling to this amazing opportunity, please do attend. You can learn more here.
October 16, 2012 will find me at St. Mary Parish in East Dubuque, Illinois speaking on, “She’s My Mother, and She’s Your Mother, Too!” Hope you can come! Find out more here: St. Mary’s Church Parish Event
I’ve had the great pleasure to book a new engagement this fall: a women’s Advent Tea at Holy Trinity Church in Westmont, Illinois on December 2, 2012. It will be a wonderful, grace-filled afternoon – stay tuned for more details.
Finally, I have a special surprise for you. I’m giving my subscribers a sneak peak at a new project of my sons and mine. I’m fortunate that my son, Luke, is a Mass Communications-Broadcast Journalism major and has the eagerness and know-how to help me put together some fun things for my website. Add to that the skills of our youngest son, John, with PowerPoints and MovieMaker, and…well… you’ll see. For now, I’ve included in the link below the first audio round of our efforts to make informative and inspiring clips for visitors to my website. Enjoy!
