Introducing my brand-new monthly newsletter, Simply Holy! The first issue launched  on April 8, 2013. If you’re not on the subscriber list, you’ll want to join right away so you don’t miss the next issue. Here’s why:

Simply Holy is a valuable tool to help all of us reach for holiness in answer to Vatican Council II’s universal call to holiness and the Bishop’s initiative of the New Evangelization. Each issue will help us all (including me), better define and understand holiness and discover how to more effectively strive for it, We’ll learn together how to simplify our lives and open our hearts to a deepening of our Christian faith, using our Lord and our Lady as models and looking to the wisdom of the Church’s teachings and saints for guidance. We’ll also pray with and for one another’s intentions.

Each inspiration and information packed issue will include:

Message from Marge – What’s new, what’s cool, and what’s on my mind and the mind of readers.

Spark – Looking to Jesus and Mary as examples for our own lives. The emphasis is on Marian spirituality – for the guys, too!

Substance – Practical advice and how-to’s from Church teaching, the saints, and everyday folks that will help us strive for holiness, step by step. Not a guilt-trip, but an offering of joy and encouragement.

Reality Check – News items from the Church and secular world that should be of note to us as Christians living in an often anti-Christian world. Don’t fret – it’s always entwined with a message of hope.

Prayer Corner – Prayer intentions from readers and others who need our prayers plus pic of readers’ favorite ways, spaces, and places to pray. Suggestions for enhancing your prayer life, too.
