No matter how we refer to it, today’s holy day marks the revelation of our Savior, Jesus Christ, to all peoples of the world.
The Magi observed the formation of the Star and followed it to the city of Bethlehem.
Scripture tells us,
They were overjoyed at seeing the star, and on entering the house they saw the child with Mary his mother. They prostrated themselves and did him homage. Then they opened their treasures and offered him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. (Mt 2:10-11)
The Star led the Wise Men to the Child. But there’s another “Star” at Epiphany I’d like you to consider.
