Seeing a parent age and succumb to dementia can be a very difficult, painful, process. Today on “Catholic to the Core,” I’ve opened up the door to my heart and life a bit to share with you my grappling with my own mother’s dementia.
Margie- I am so glad you shared this. You didn’t always have it the easiest growing up with your Mom- but I am glad you are able to put it behind you and enjoy the woman she is now- you have become an amazing person because of the trials and tributes you’ve had in your life. It is hard to see a parent age- regardless if they have dementia or just natural aging- prayers with you as you struggle with patience occasionally.

Whether your day was tough or terrific, Mary is interested. Why not tell your Blessed Mother all about it?
It's the Hour of Mercy! Please join me in praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet.
