The evil one wants us to obsess over the anxieties of daily life so that we stop trusting God. Once we lose our trust in God, nothing divine makes any sense anymore, And so, if we’re steeped n anxiety when the hour comes, we won’t be fully prepared to turn ourselves over to the Lord.

The only unfortunate thing about Kandra’s book is that it’s meant only for Advent 2018, which means it’s not an evergreen book and I could see myself using it year after year. On the other hand, the fact that it coincides exactly with current events and culture is what makes The Living Gospel: Daily Devotions for Advent 2018 the gem that it is!
In truth, the end made me sad. Not because of the content, but because I’d enjoyed reading it SO very much!
