When we refer to Mary as “Star of the Sea,” we recall the fact that, like the stars in the sky, her task – in fact, her very nature – is to reflect the Light. The physical stars in the sky reflect the Sun’s light. Mary reflects the Light of her Son, Jesus Christ.
One of the things he said really struck a cord with me, as I and my husband belong to an ecclesial movement community. But, the Holy Father’s word reach further, beyond an orchestrated community and to each one of us, who all belong to the greater community of the Church.
