Rather than dread cabin fever, we can use it as a means by which to draw closer to God and deepen our spirituality.
For the most part, the tendency is to concentrate on the happy story that takes place here. The new parents – Joseph and Mary – bring their Infant Son to the Temple as was customary for the Jewish people. But there’s a lot going on behind the scenes.
Visitors have come from as far away as England, with ethnic pilgrimages coming from all over the continent. They come because the Saints of Auriesville Museum is unlike any other natural history museum.
One of the things I love most about my Marian Pilgrimage project – aside from the amazing places of graces – is the people I encounter along the way.
Since I initiated Prayer Requests, the requests have been flowing in from all kinds of people with all kinds of crosses – some are indeed quite heavy. You must have crosses, too. Most people do. Can I pray for you? Can we pray for each other?
That’s the crux of this whole matter. It’s a misconception that if there’s silence, nothing important is happening. That can’t be further from the truth!
