We’re celebrating the birthday of the Blessed Virgin Mary – not just any woman, but “the” woman. As I wrote in my latest post for National Catholic Register,
Mary was, is, and always be “the” woman, chosen from among all women for all time, to become the Mother of the Redeemer and his Co-Redemptrix.
As Mother of God, Mary’s gender is so important that God himself held a “gender reveal” of sorts. It just might be the world’s first gender reveal party.
