For the past many months, the refrain of singer Paul Simon’s song, “Slip Slidin’ Away” has kept rolling around in my head, repeating itself over and over again. For awhile there, it really did seem as though things were slip slidin’ away for Fenelon Clan. On August 6 we celebrate the Feast of the Transfiguration, that spectacular moment when our Lord appeared in all his glory to the Apostles Peter, James, and John.
While he was praying his face changed in appearanceÂ
and his clothing became dazzling white.
And behold, two men were conversing with him, Moses and Elijah,Â
who appeared in glory and spoke of his exodusÂ
