I really think Anne was far better at encouraging me than I was at encouraging her. What started as my way of helping Anne ended up as Anne’s way of helping me and it was astonishing to see this normally-reserved woman blossom into a witty, wise, perceptive and insightful individual. It was a side of Anne I’d never seen before. What a gift.
I’m looking forward to bundling in jeans and a sweater and tromping through the incredible crisp reds, oranges, and browns of fall leaves. The park down the road from us becomes a veritable carpet of them and the jewels still clinging to the trees become a brilliant prism of flaming color.

That’s fairly accurate, except that I had already been feeling as though I’d had enough as I entered the 4th hour.
