Some interesting news bites to bring to the family table this morning. With so many blurbs and news items to fish through, it can be overwhelming. If we view the world through family eyes, we can see what really matters. Here are a couple of things that hit my eyes this morning:

Looks like “somebody” else is interested in Christmas trees, too. If the Agriculture department has its way, we may be taxed for purchasing our festive firs.
Finally, something that will get families scratching their heads and saying, “Hmmmm…” Wal-Mart is planning on getting into the healthcare biz. I don’t know about you, but I’m having a hard time imagining getting my lab work done and picking out dog food and shampoo at the same establishment. On the other hand, they just might figure out a decent way to get it done. Huh. I wonder in which aisle we’ll find the colonoscopies.
