Thanksgiving is just a few days away, and I’d like to do something special to help us all gear up for it. I’ve been asking friends on Facebook and Twitter (and now here, on this blog) to post what they’re thankful for this year. I’ll be posting the “thanks” on this blog daily from now through Thanksgiving Day, using only first names as a courtesy of privacy. Even though things may seem dark to us – at least to some extent – there really is much for which we can be grateful. Let’s celebrate all for which we ourselves give thanks for for what others give thanks. Let’s look around this (still) beautiful world, and cherish the wonderful things God has done and continues to do in all our lives! Won’t you join me? By the end of Turkey Day, I’d like to have an extensive list that will bring hope and joy to us all, and as a gift to our Lord for his generosity to us. Now, don’t be shy, and please don’t say you have nothing to be thankful for – everybody has something for which to give thanks! So, put those thinking caps on and let’s get going…
Ready? Here we go…

I am thankful for the health and well being of my entire family and all of our blessings which we receive each and every day. I am thankful for finding Schoenstatt over 30 years ago since our involvement has helped us in ways too numerous to mention. Happy Thanksgiving to all our Schoenstatt family and thanks for being there and making us feel “at home” no matter where or which Shrine we visit around the world.

A beautiful idea Marge! I am first and foremost thankful for my dear wife and the beautiful children she gave me and God’s gift to share in his fatherhood. Also for our families and loved ones and for our dear Mother and Queen who reigns victoriously in her covenant with her children. (Joe)

I’m thankful for God’s grace, without which we could not exist. I’m thankful for all the ups and downs he sent to our family over this past year, because I can see how we each have grown so much under his loving care! I’m thankful for the privilege of being able to write and speak to God’s greater glory. Of course, I’m thankful for Fenelon Clan, and for family, friends, and yes, I’m thankful for Ms. Daisy…
