The custom of honoring Mary in a special way during May developed over centuries (and spread widely in the 18th and 19th centuries), pairing the month’s themes of new life and beauty with the one Christians have long called the “Mother of God” and the “Queen of Heaven.”

Please pray for my cousin Fr. Tom Fenelon. He is 83 yrs old and a Dominican priest. He just entered a nursing home where my mom spent the last years of her life and is in frail condition.
Also pray for my nursing classmate Marlene Dostal Marshall who just found out that her cancer has spread to her liver. She is accepting of whatever will be that concludes her journey to God.
