Ha. So nanner-nanner on all those folks (including my loving Fenelon Clan) who’ve teased me over the years about my unbreakable morning coffee habit. Because, really, I’ve had a very good thing going.
A Finland study has revealed that people who drink 3 to 5 cups of coffee daily show a lower rate of dementia that non-coffee drinkers. They also show higher resistence to other diseases such as Parkinson’s Disease and diabetes. You can read about the study yourself at this link:

Now I’m reconsidering my resolution to give coffee up for Lent. Think about it. If coffee is staving off dementia and thus allowing me a longer term of productive writing, then I should be drinking it, right? I knew I had a good thing going.
