Old City from the Mount of the OlivesOn day nine of the novena to Our Lady, Undoer of Knots for Pope Francis’ safe and successful visit to the Holy Land, I received a message from a colleague. In it was the link to an article on CatholicCulture.og titled, “Striking workers return to Israeli foreign ministry, easing concerns on planning for papal visit.”

Well, then.

Looks like Pope Francis is Israel-bound, his trip coinciding with my trip there with the Catholic Press Association (or rather, vice versa). In any case, we’ll both be there at the same time – the Holy Father and me – and I am feeling grateful and blessed.

Our Lady, Undoer of Knots has come through again!

Thanks so much for joining me in the novena. I appreciate your prayers as well as all the thoughtful messages I’ve received about my trip.

As I posted on my Facebook page, I’ve given a presentation or handed in a major assignment every two weeks since January 1. I’ve got two more, and then it will be time to prepare (in more practical ways) for my trip to the Holy Land. So, please continue your prayers for me, as I pray for you in these coming weeks.
