Every so often, an article like this one appears about discovery of a new species, new scientific phenomenon, or a new process. I love reading these, because it reminds me that God’s hand is never still. Don’t we tend to think of God’s creative power only in terms of the romantic tales of Genesis?
The Genesis stories are indeed both amazing and inspiring, but so are the stories of today. We need to ask ourselves how often we stop to gaze in awe and wonder at the world around us, to discover something we’ve never known before, to see something we’ve never seen, experience something we’ve never experienced.
In many ways, that’s what scientists do. Unfotunately, not all of them attribute the awe and wonder the see and experience to God. That’s where, as Christians, we have our work cut out for us. Through our prayers, inspiration, and encouragement, perhaps all scientists will see the hand of God in their discoveries.
