This morning, I ran across this video about The Church Up Close. It was posted July 7, 2014 and features Fr. John Wauck, Professor in the School of Church Communcations at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross. Fr. Wauck does an excellent job of explaining exactly what The Church Up Close is, what it involves, and why it’s so important, not only for the journalists who attend, but also for all of their readers.  It’s a bit long, but well worth the view.

This is the first part; I’ll post the second part as soon as it’s available. Enjoy!

Dear Marge,
Thank you for this post. (I really do not have a website… I just started AVON)…
As I plan to go back to school for Masters in Psychology to center work & help efforts for children alienated by family members as well as respect for self to eliminate abortion, I found this video important to the focus needed for including our Loving Faith & Church in all our (my) efforts.
Was hooked on what hearing, went to You Tube for 2nd part? … not find? On my computer it cuts off where he starts speaking of the “history.”
Thank you again & God Bless you & yours always.
With Love in Christ,
Warm Regards,

I hope you noticed that I posted the second part of The Church Up Close video. I agree with you that we all should better educate ourselves about how the Church “works” and what that means for the lay faithful in our respective jobs and ministries.
I wish you every joy and blessing in your endeavors,
