Pope Francis has just issued two Apostolic Letters, motu proprio. One of the letters, Mitis Iudex Dominus Iesus,  “The Lord Jesus, Clement Judge,” reforms the Code of Canon Law governing the Latin Church, while the other, Mitis et misericors Iesus or “Clement and merciful Jesus,” reforms the Code of Canon Law for Oriental Churches.

No surprise that the mainstream media already has begun to post misleading headlines about how Pope Francis is changing Church doctrine. Well, here’s what’s really going on in my latest post at National Catholic Register.
