I’m back from New York and (almost) ready to jump into my “normal” modus operandus. It was a fantastic trip! My daughter and neice accompanied me and I truly enjoyed having them along. We stayed with a lovely, lively older woman who taught us about her Puerto Rican culture, including cooking some of the best food we’ve had in a long, long time. We had a few moments to visit with Archbishop Dolan, a special treat. We saw the city, visited with friends and family, and took in the sights and sounds like any true-blooded Midwestern hick. The workshop was a great success! My gratitude to Fr. Mastrolia, pastor of the Church of St. Paul in Congers for inviting me. Heartfelt thanks to the folks of the parish who participated in the workshop. Their warm welcome, enthusiastic receptiveness, and thoughtful responses made my work both easy and delightful. We laughed, pondered, explored, prayed, and learned together. It was a joy to be with them!

My next workshop will be with the East Side Catholic Adult Women’s Lenten Retreat at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Madison, WI. For more information, call: 608-249-9256.
