We’ve been waiting a long time for this.
Word came down this morning from the Vatican Press Office that the Holy Father’s post-synodal Apostolic Exhortation “Amoris Laetitia”, on love in the family will be presented on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 11:30am local time (6:30pm CT).
The presentation will take place during a press conference in the Aula Giovanni Paolo II of the Holy See Press Office. The panel presenting the exhortation will include:
– Cardinal Lorenzo Baldisseri, general secretary of the Synod of Bishops;
– Cardinal Christoph Schönborn, O.P., archbishop of Vienna;
– The married couple Professor Francesco Miano, lecturer in moral philosophy at the University of Rome at Tor Vergata, and Professor Giuseppina De Simone in Miano, lecturer in philosophy at the Theological Faculty of Southern Italy in Naples.
The press conference will be simultaneously translated and can be viewed via live stream (audio-vidoe) on Vatican Player Radio: http://player.rv.va It will remain on the site so it can be seen on demand.
There has been much speculation, and as I’ve seen, much fretting about what Pope Francis will say in regard to the synod and in light of the sacredness of the family.
Please join me in prayer as the world anticipates this important document. Until it’s released, I expect much more speculation – and likely some “prediction” – about the exhortation’s contents. As we well know, the evil one will work his hardest to stir things up and create misunderstandings, fears, and divisions. Once it’s out, he’ll do all he can do cloud minds from understanding and accepting the exhortation’s message.
St. Michael the Archangel,
Defend us in battle. Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray.
And do thou, O Prince of the heavenly hosts, cast into hell satan and all evil spirits seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
Mother Mary, pray for us!
