The Holy Rosary is the weapon which the enemy fears. It is also the refuge of those who look for relief for the sufferings, and it is the door to enter into my heart.
That’s what our Blessed Mother told Gladys Herminia Quiroga de Motta on one of her 1804 visits to the Argentinian housewife and mother of two.
The apparitions, which took place from Oct. 13, 1983 to Feb. 11, 1990, were approved on May 22 by Bishop Hector Cardelli of San Nicolas. In the apparitions, Mary requested that she be given the title, “Our Lady of the Rosary of San Nicolas.”
Jesus also appeared to Gladys, visiting her 68 times and giving her messages as well.
Both our Lord and our Lady warned of modern-day evils and the need for conversion. Mary reiterated messages she’d given at Fatima and Lourdes.
“Many hearts do not accept my invitation to prayer and to conversion. That is why the work of the devil is growing and expanding. My dear children, it is only through prayer and conversion that you will return to God. May he not find your hearts dry,” she said.
“It is from here that I invite the world to look for the Living Fountain, the Fountain of Peace, the Fountain of grace. I want to cure my children from this illness which is materialism; an illness which makes many suffer. I want to help them discover Christ, and I want to make it known to them that Christ prevails over everything.”
Prayer. Fasting. Conversion. The Rosary as the most powerful weapon against evil and toward conversion. The Rosary as the door to Mary’s heart.
Those are messages that came directly from the mouth of our Blessed Mother.
My colleague at National Catholic Register, Joseph Pronechen, has written about the newly-approved apparitions in San Nicolas, Argentina.
I encourage you to take time to read slowly through Mary’s and Jesus’ messages to Gladys Herminia Quiroga de Motta and to take them deeply into your heart. But, don’t stop there. Do as our Mother requested. turn from sin, pray the Rosary, fast, and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
