I don’t normally tell people what they should (or shouldn’t) do.
I can’t stand it when people do that to me, and so I work hard never to do it to anybody else. But this time is an exception to my self-prescribed rule. I’m telling you what you should do.
You should make a retreat.
At the risk of sounding bossy, I’m telling you this because I know first-hand the benefits of making a retreat and the consequences of avoiding it. We all need to make a retreat, not just once, not just once in a while, but on a regular basis. Plus, I know you’ll thank me for it once you’ve returned.
I don’t know a single person who has regretted drawing closer to God and being able to more clearly hear his voice.
You won’t regret it, either.

Then, come back and thank me.
But thank God first.
