Just as we can have chronic inflammation of the body, I think we also can have chronic inflammation of the soul. When we habitually take in things that are not beneficial to our spiritual life, when we haphazardly consume the world around us, it affects the overall health of our souls.
Let’s resolve to rekindle the flames and reignite devotion to the holy Rosary this month, shall we? For a sacramental that sits so light in the hand, it weighs heavily as a mighty weapon on all things evil and discouraging.
We make resolutions for the New (Calendar) Year so we can set goals that will help us reach toward self-improvement and growth. So, too, we should make resolutions for the New (Church) Year so we can set goals that will help us reach toward holiness and spiritual growth.
