With great diligence, I’ve been watching the accounts of Hurricane Harvey’s devastation as they’ve popped up in my news feeds since it hit the Gulf shore of Texas on August 25. Perhaps I watch too diligently, but I simply cannot look away.
Granted, a main reason for this is that I have loved ones in the affected area. But, even if that were not so, I wouldn’t be able to stop looking.
I’ve been looking for ways to help. I’ve been looking for ways to pray and to offer hope. Mostly, I’ve been looking for some kind of meaning in all this.
