I receive prayer requests from people around the world almost every day. Some come via email, some on social media, and the bulk of them through the Prayer Request form on my website. Someone once described me as a “powerful pray-er,” and I take that to heart. I’m a self-prescribed prayer warrior because I believe in the power of prayer and because I know that we all need the prayers of others.
Praying for one another isn’t just a polite thing to do; it’s part of our Christian identity. Our Lord instructed us to pray for each other. “Again, truly I tell you, if two of you agree on earth about anything you ask, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them.” (Mt 18:19-20) We have his solemn word that whenever we come together to pray, our prayers will be answered.
It’s not only a joy for me to pray for others but also a part of my ministry to lead the world to Christ through Mary. I take this mission seriously and pray for your intentions faithfully. When I receive a prayer request, I send a personal response to the person and write the request into my Petitions book, a small notebook with blank pages waiting to be filled. The book rests on a shelf in our family prayer corner and every morning I pause there to pray for all the intentions written inside. Even when I am traveling for speaking engagements or family matters, I remember to pray for them. I entrust each person and his or her request to our Blessed Mother’s intercession and ask our Lord to fulfill his promise of granting what we ask.
Are you or someone you know in need of prayer? Visit my Prayer Request page and let me know how I can pray for you. I would love to accompany you in this way! I ask only one small favor. When you submit your request, say a prayer for me and for all the other people who have entrusted their intentions to me. With this, we’ll be following Jesus’ instructions: For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them.
